1. PURPOS
To describe the safety procedures in the chemical Laboratory.
2. SCOPE
This procedure applies for handling of all chemical in Quality Control Laboratory of this Pharmaceuticals.

4. PRECAUTIONS
Use protective measures such as eye protector, protective clothing, mask and gloves when handling the materials or products.

All QC personnel concerned with handling of chemical in QC Laboratory.

7. PROCEDURE
7.1 Identify flammable solvents and hazardous chemicals with appropriate labels.
7.2 Keep the flammable solvent and hazardous chemicals in the individual locker with close supervision and appropriate labeling.
7.3 Maintain storage condition and handle them carefully according to the supplier’s information supplier will provide following necessary information.
– Accidental release measures
– Handling and storage of chemicals
– Personal protection
– Toxicological information
– Ecological information
– Transport information
– Physical and chemical properties
– Stability and reactivity
– Regulatory information
7.4 Keep the flammable chemicals away from the source of fire.
7.5 Put on protective wear i.e. musk, gloves and aprons while handling the chemically hazardous materials.
7.6 Put on goggles where protection of eyes is necessary.
7.7 Remove all physical hazards and physical barriers from the laboratory.
7.8 Check the first aid box and firefighting instruments with regular interval and always maintain necessary materials ready for use.
7.9 Do not store, prepare or take food and drinks and do not smoke within the Laboratory.
7.10 Disposal of test sample as per SOP.
7.11 Sampling of raw material by following related SOP.
